In hand, its better than it looks! Its a beautifully designed and made, high quality, authentic palm straw basket. It has oval polished cane handles and a tie-up cotton fabric lining. It can then be closed up with a fine suede leather loop strap which hooks over a large Tagua seed button.
The Belotta fibre is scourced, and the baskets are made, in the remote and mountainous highlands of Panama. They are handmade by artisans using traditional techniques honed over time. Some fibres are dyed using natural dyes. The dyes combine with the fibres resulting in an unusual irridescent effect which is amazing!
Its potentially flexible for use and be used to the beach, for shopping, to lunch, to the races, work or weekend. Whether used every day or just for special occasions, when you see it and love it, get it, as we dont get them in often.
